Alexis Carra received her B.A in Theatre Studies, Cum Laude from Yale University. After graduating and moving to NYC, she began working extensively on and off Broadway in shows such as Wicked, Sweet Charity, Fosse (1st National Tour) and The Pirate Queen and can be heard the cast album recordings of many of them.
Alexis teaches master classes across the globe is a on staff at Edge Performing Arts Center. She has assisted Tony Award winning choreographers Wayne Cilento and Andy Blankenbuehler as well as choreographing commercials for Doritos, Discovery Channel, and musicals such as West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, and Sweet Charity.
Alexis also choreographed the HBO Pilot “Showtime,” directed by Adam Mckay (Vice, The Big Short, Succession). TV acting credits: Series Regular roles, Mixology (ABC) and Recovery Road (Freeform); guest roles: Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Anger Management, Major Crimes, Criminal Minds, NCIS.
You can see her currently in the award winning FX mini series Fosse Verdon, starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams where she plays a Fosse dancer working closely opposite Sam Rockwell, as Bob Fosse. Alexis is also the co founder, along with her best friend Chryssie Whitehead, of a preforming arts intensive called Broadway Arts Community. Her deepest desire is to inspire artists to create from their heart and to learn about having confidence from the inside-out.
